The establishment of a GP Federation in ELR was discussed locally since the summer of 2015 and subsequently, through extensive engagement, GP Practices explored how a GP Federation may support them to deliver sustainable primary care in the future. Engagement resulted in all thirty-two practices firmly committing to be part of ELR GP Federation, creating a solid foundation and overwhelming support for the challenges that lie ahead.
Our website, social media channels and Campaign Monitor are the main routes through which we and/or our communications partners communicate with you and external parties. Our social media channels comprise our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/elrgpfed and Twitter account @ELRGPFED.
We produce communications, information and engagement material to support the work of the Federation in fulfilling its role on behalf of its member practices and informing interested parties about its work. Our role is set out in this website on our About Us section. This may also from time to time lead to us asking to obtain strictly limited personal information from you. For example you may be asked for personal information if you complete one of the forms on this site.
Our Window on the World facility brings together live, unmediated and publicly available social media feeds from the three LLR Clinical Commisioning Groups, University Hospitals Leicester, Leicester Partnership Trust, LLR Alliance, ELR GP Federation, the 2 LLR Healthwatch organisations, Voluntary Action Leicestershire and the Better Care Together Programme.
Our website includes the optional facility for anyone to create a free myFed account, which offers the ability to opt to receive updates, notifications and breaking news from this website about the topics and issues of most interest and relevance to them and to participate in online discussions.
We may from time to time use Survey Monkey for questionnaires or workflow to support our work, including Board appointments and activities.
In line with GDPR requirements, in each and every case we will only use the information about you for the purpose for which you provide it and we will only use and store your information if you have given us your permission to do so. We regularly review the data we hold to ensure it remains relevant and useful for our activities.
We neither obtain nor seek to obtain any patient identifiable data or information from any of our member practices. Neither do we share with them any of your data you may provide to us.
Personal information you submit via the ELRGPFED website, via Survey Monkey and/or Campaign Monitor is stored on secure servers, only accessible to authorised personnel, password protected and managed by our external communications partners.
We have been provided with assurance that our activities and working practices, as well as the activities and working practices of our external communications partners, are fully compliant with GDPR and with the requirements of relevant regulators including the Information Commissioner’s Office. Neither we nor they will sell or share – nor seek to sell or share – your personal information with any other organisation outside of the ELR GP Federation and/or its direct employees and agents without your explicit advance permission.
