Kirsty Whawell appointed Board representative for Harborough

The ELR GP Federation is delighted to welcome Kirsty Whawell as its new Board representative for Harborough.

  • Kirsty has lived and worked in Kibworth for the last 8 years
  • Practice Manager at Kibworth Medical Centre for the last 4 years
  • Appointed following ballot of all Harborough Practices

Welcoming Kirsty to the Board, Dr Rsyz Bietzk, Federation Chair, said

“We couldn’t be more delighted to welcome Kirsty to the Board.  She brings energy, enthusiasm and a greatly valued additional perspective with her background in practice management.  We very much welcome to hearing her ideas and benefiting from her insight”

Commenting on her appointment, Kirsty said, “I am delighted to be a Board Representative for the Harborough locality and the first Practice Manager to take up a place on the Board. I believe this will add a further dynamic that can only add value, compliment and strengthen. Primary care and the wider NHS is changing rapidly and we need to innovate and implement new ways of working to ensure we run the safest and most efficient healthcare system. I am highly motivated and committed and I am very much looking forward to working with the Federation and assisting with its ongoing development to ensure it is a national leader in primary care.”
